We are looking for a Local Business Line (LBL) Sales Manager at ABB Oy, Marine and Ports Division, Marine Systems Finland. This position is in Vuosaari, Helsinki. You will be responsible for planning and execution of LBL sales strategy for Marine Systems offering. This includes ship power plant solutions as well as automation and control systems and features. You will work in cooperation with the ABB Marine Global team to complement the market coverage, and act as a single point of contact to represent Marine Systems Finland within the ABB Marine.

This position reports to Local Business Line Manager, Marine Systems

Your responsibilities
  • Creating, planning and implementing sales strategy for LBL focusing on the new market areas and customers. Establishing sales targets and ensuring sales achievement through regular oversight, and identifying and implementing improvements.
  • Acting as a line manager for the local Marine Systems sales team. Ensuring proper staffing and coaching of the team.
  • Having full ownership of the sales processes, and all relevant training and development plans, actions and programs.
  • Identifying opportunities at existing and potential new customers within defined product offerings and sales segments and building strong relationships with new customers and key decision makers.
  • Participating actively or leading negotiations of key contracts. Identifying and managing potential contract risks, including technical requirements, and participating in relevant risk reviews.
  • Being part of the Finland Marine Systems Management Team.
Your background
  • Experience in Marine industry and knowledge in electrical & automation engineering.
  • Strong drive for world-class customer service and ability to independently work at customer front.
  • Ability and experience in building and leading a diverse sales team.
  • Proven track record in B2B front-end system sales.
  • Excellent communication and social skills in English and ability to network with relevant parties.
  • M.Sc. or B.Sc. in a technical field or relevant experience in industrial system sales.
  • Willingness to travel.
  • Organized way of working and strong ownership.
