We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Professional Ayurvedic Therapist with a valid DHA (Dubai Health Authority) qualification and a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience. The ideal candidate should possess a strong foundation in Ayurvedic principles, therapies, and treatments, and be passionate about promoting holistic wellness. This role requires a thorough understanding of Ayurvedic practices, excellent communication skills, and a compassionate approach to client care.
Responsibilities:
Therapeutic Treatments: Perform a variety of Ayurvedic treatments and therapies, such as Abhyanga, Shirodhara, Panchakarma, and more, based on individual client needs.
Client Consultation: Conduct thorough consultations to assess clients' physical conditions, medical history, and wellness goals. Recommend appropriate Ayurvedic therapies and lifestyle adjustments to enhance overall well-being.
Customization: Tailor treatment plans to each client's unique constitution (dosha) and specific health concerns, ensuring a personalized and effective approach.
Therapeutic Techniques: Apply Ayurvedic therapeutic techniques including massage, herbal applications, detoxification procedures, and other traditional methods to promote physical, mental, and emotional balance.
Product Knowledge: Possess a deep understanding of Ayurvedic herbs, oils, and products used in therapies. Recommend suitable products for clients to use between sessions.
Hygiene and Safety: Maintain a clean and safe environment in treatment rooms, adhering to hygiene standards and best practices to ensure the safety and comfort of clients.
Documentation: Maintain accurate and organized client records, including treatment details, progress notes, and any recommendations provided.
Education: Educate clients on the principles of Ayurveda, the importance of holistic wellness, and how to incorporate Ayurvedic practices into their daily lives.
Communication: Effectively communicate with clients about treatment options, procedures, and post-treatment care. Address any questions or concerns they may have.
Collaboration: Collaborate with other wellness professionals, such as nutritionists, yoga instructors, and medical practitioners, to provide integrated holistic care to clients.
Continuous Learning: Stay updated with the latest advancements and research in Ayurveda and related fields to enhance your knowledge and skills.
Requirements:
- DHA Qualification: Valid Dubai Health Authority certification as an Ayurvedic Therapist is mandatory.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of hands-on experience as an Ayurvedic Therapist.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of Ayurvedic principles, doshas, therapies, and traditional techniques.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. Additional languages are a plus.
- Empathy: Compassionate and patient-centered approach to client care.
- Professionalism: Maintain a high level of professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality.
- Adaptability: Ability to customize treatments based on individual client needs and adjust techniques accordingly.
