Job Description: Factory Manager
Position Overview:
The Factory Manager plays a pivotal role in overseeing the efficient and effective operations of the metal stamping manufacturing facility. This role requires a combination of strong leadership, operational expertise, and strategic thinking to ensure production targets are met, quality standards are upheld, and the overall facility functions smoothly.
Key Responsibilities:
1.Production Management:
- Plan, organize, and oversee production processes to meet production targets and timelines.
- Create detailed production schedules and forecasts and ensure workers follow accordingly.
- Monitor daily production activities, ensuring adherence to quality standards and efficient resource utilization.
- Collaborate with various departments to optimize production workflows and resolve any bottlenecks or issues.
2.Team Leadership:
- Manage and lead a team of supervisors, technicians, operators, and support staff.
- Foster a culture of teamwork, performance excellence, and continuous improvement.
- Provide guidance, coaching, and training to enhance team members’ skills and capabilities.
- Delegating tasks effectively and suggest areas that lack of manpower.
3.Resource Allocation:
- Allocate resources, including personnel, machinery, materials, and equipment, to meet production demands.
- Optimise resource utilisation to achieve maximum efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
4.Operational Excellence:
- Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations within the facility.
- Implement and maintain best practices for lean manufacturing and continuous improvement.
- Monitor and analyze production metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
5. Quality Assurance:
- Collaborate with the Quality Control team to ensure products meet established quality standards.
- Implement quality assurance processes and perform regular quality audits to identify and rectify issues.
6. Supply Chain Management:
- Coordinate with procurement and supply chain teams to ensure timely availability of raw materials and components.
- Manage inventory levels to prevent stockouts while minimising excess inventory.
7. Equipment Maintenance:
- Oversee maintenance activities to ensure machinery and equipment are in optimal working condition.
- Schedule preventive maintenance and respond to unplanned breakdowns promptly.
8. Budget Management:
- Develop and manage budgets for the production department, ensuring cost control and efficient resource allocation.
9. Performance Reporting:
- Prepare and present regular performance reports to senior management, highlighting production achievements, challenges, and improvement initiatives.
10. Strategic Planning:
- Contribute to the development of the company’s manufacturing strategy, identifying areas for expansion, technology adoption, and process enhancement.
- Creating and putting systems in place to ensure every process has a standardised procedure.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
- Mandarin and English Speaker.
- Proven experience as a Factory Manager or similar role in metal stamping or manufacturing industry.
- Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and develop teams.
- In-depth knowledge of metal stamping processes, production methodologies, and lean manufacturing principles.
- Familiarity with quality control standards, safety regulations, and environmental compliance.
- Analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities to identify process inefficiencies and implement solutions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate across departments and effectively convey information to all levels of the organization.
- Proficiency in using manufacturing software and tools for production planning, scheduling, and resource allocation.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Result-oriented mindset with a continuous improvement approach.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: RM6,500.00 - RM8,000.00 per month
